MODULE 1- Basic Disaster Preparedness and Response

This module introduces the essential principles of disaster risk reduction, preparedness, and emergency response within the local church. It covers hazard and risk awareness, family and church preparedness planning, go-bags and emergency supplies, evacuation procedures, volunteer coordination, basic response guidelines, and the church’s role in serving affected communities with compassion, safety, and accountability. Completion of this module is a prerequisite for MODULE 2 – Church-Based Disaster Preparedness and Response (Intermediate Level).
